Description
Registered Nurse – MS/Tele Night Shift
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Shift Details
- Cardiac specialty unit with 30 beds
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 – 7:15)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- Weekend shifts required depending on unit needs
- Float within scope of practice required
- No on-call requirement
- Block scheduling handled case-by-case
- Documentation system: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Scrub color: Navy
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Manage a team of 6 patients on the cardiac unit
- Familiarity with diuretics, anticoagulants, inotropes, and rate-controlling medications required
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional certifications such as PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI, Management of Assaultive Behavior may be required as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in cardiac or telemetry nursing preferred
- First-time travel nurses accepted (prior travel experience not required)
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Complete application/resume required
Notes
- Return to work (RTO) parameters require manager approval
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
- Photo for badge clearance required
