Description
ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
- Average Daily Census: 10 patients
- Work Schedule: Must work every other weekend
- On-Call: Required
- Floating: Required within scope; may float to Medical, Neuro, Cardiac ICUs, IMC, and general floors on modified teams
- Patient Population: Primarily trauma/burn ICU with medical and cardiac overflow patients
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Permit required, no cost
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Locals accepted with no radius restrictions
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions ideally no more than 5 days
- Guaranteed hours subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay
- Scrub color: Any solid color
- Facility is a Level I trauma center and Magnet designated hospital
- Candidates must complete and sign facility-specific documents such as code of conduct and parking permit forms within 7 days of contract signing
Summary
This is a night-shift ICU RN travel contract in an acute care, Level I trauma, Magnet hospital in Springfield, IL. The role requires at least 1 year of ICU experience, active IL RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. The position involves floating to other ICU units and general floors as needed, working every other weekend, and being on-call. Comprehensive health screenings, immunizations, background checks, and documentation are required prior to start.
