Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Location
- Farmington, New Mexico
- Level II Trauma Center
- Medical Unit with 43 beds
- Patient population: Adults (≥18 years)
- Patient ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
Employment Details
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend shifts: At least 2 per month recommended
- Float requirements: As needed by facility
Unit & Facility Information
- Medical unit equipped with VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- Common patient diagnoses: cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience specifically in Med Surg Telemetry nursing
