Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • No floating between units
  • No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
  • Total Beds: 536
  • Teaching Hospital
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • Must hold either CCI or ARRT OBMI licensure
  • Electrophysiology Technician experience required

Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and specialty (verify with credentialing)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Card (as applicable for I9)
  • Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
  • Education Verification required for all candidates
  • Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
  • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
  • Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
  • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS (Workramp)
  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine required during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
  • Fit Mask test required annually for travel candidates (onsite testing available if needed)

Additional Notes

  • Oregon Neglect Abuse Consent Form and Search required only for specific child care facilities (not applicable here)
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required; however, this position does not float between units
  • No on-call or weekend shifts required
  • Facility provides scrub colors for OR/Cath Lab; any color allowed for other units
  • Radiation badges issued by facility as applicable
