Mammography Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Mammography Technologist proficient in both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no holidays, call, or weekend shifts.

Unit Information

Department: Radiology / Mammography & Diagnostic
Staff on Unit: 2 (including 1 Radiologist, 1 Ultrasound Tech, 1 Mammographer)
Shift: Day shift only, 40 hours per week (8-hour days)
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Hologic Selenia Dimensions, Affirm Stereotactic
EMR Systems: Epic, Volpara, McKesson PACS

Required Qualifications

Mammography Technologist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT Mammography (M) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with stereotactic guided biopsies and wire localizations
Weekly Quality Control experience

Typical Procedures

Screening mammography
Diagnostic mammography
Stereotactic guided wire localization and biopsies

Patient-centered and focused
Detail-oriented with high-quality positioning skills

Additional Information

Floating area includes MRI breast positioning if needed
Dress code: Scrubs in grey or pewter colors
No call or weekend shifts required
