    Description

    Cath Lab Technologist

    Location: Bakersfield, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Work in a STEMI receiving facility with cases involving cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology (IR), and neuro intervention.
    • Cases are performed with 2 techs (1 scrubs, 1 monitors hemodynamics). An RN provides conscious sedation. Occasionally a 4th person (RN or tech) may assist.
    • There is a Lead Tech responsible for room assignments.
    • Facility has 5 suites:
      • 2 suites primarily for coronary cases
      • 1 suite for peripheral cases
      • 1 suite for vascular & neuro cases
      • 1 suite for electrophysiology (EP) cases
    • Average cases per day range from 10 to 22.
    • Shift: Days, approximately 36 hours per week.
    • Call requirements:
      • Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases about 1x per week.
      • Weekend call approximately 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning), with potential for block scheduling on weekends.
    • Work schedule may include 10- or 12-hour shifts.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
    • Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
    • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
    • Current cath lab experience
    • ARRT
    • Fluoroscopy
    • BLS
    • Comfort with conscious sedation
    • Comfort with moderate sedation
    • Comfort with airway management
    • Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors
    • Experience with balloon pumps

    Additional Information
