Description
Registered Nurse – Urology Clinic
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit/Department Details
- Urology Clinic with 6 clinic rooms and 4 procedure rooms
- Patient volume: 33-40 patients per day
- Staffing: 2 nurses, 1 Certified Surgical Technician (CST), 1 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Common diagnoses: BPH, Hematuria, UTI, LUTS, Frequency
- Common procedures: Cystoscopy, Prostate biopsy
Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Shift times vary and rotate between: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- No weekend or holiday work required (clinic closed on major holidays)
- No call or standby requirement
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Set up sterile fields and assist in urology procedures
- Ability to place catheters
- Potential to float within specialty clinics with similar job duties
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Minimum of 2 years of clinic experience, including clinic experience within the last year
- Urology experience
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orientation & Dress Code
- Unit-specific orientation includes procedure setup and takedown
- Dress code: scrubs of any color

- Inpatient pharmacy operates 24/7 (though this is an outpatient clinic)
- Leadership includes lead urology nurse, nurse supervisor, and clinic administrator
