Echo Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Inverness, Florida

Job Description

• Mandatory Echo Tech experience required.
• Work in the Ultrasound Department on the 1st floor of the main hospital campus.
• Unit has 204 beds with a combined team of PRN, part-time, and full-time staff (7 Echo Techs, 10 Ultrasound Techs).
• Day shift staffing example: 1 charge, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 2 Ultrasound Techs, 2 Echo Techs.
• Night shift staffing example: 1 Ultrasound Tech.
• Patient ratio is typically 1:1.
• Equipment used includes GE Logiq e95 and GE Logiq e10 ultrasound machines.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner.
• Typical procedures: General and Vascular Ultrasound, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Biopsy, Trans Thoracic Echo, Trans Esophageal Echo.

• Schedule includes working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Echo Tech Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Successful completion of the Echocardiography Technologist Exam.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Imaging Certifications.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Teamwork-oriented.
• Flexible with a good sense of humor.
