Location
- Madison, Indiana
Job Summary
- Assist healthcare team during intra-operative period.
- Prepare and handle surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeon during surgical procedures.
- Provide care and equipment use based on patient age (neonate through geriatric).
- Prioritize and problem-solve in dynamic surgical environments.
- Recognize and respond immediately to urgent or emergency situations.
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology, metric system, and aseptic technique in patient and family interactions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain aseptic technique during surgical duties to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Care for, prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation.
- Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy.
- Adhere to professional standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including recent experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential.
- Proficient in surgical equipment handling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.

Work Schedule
- Day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Call schedule: 7 days on call every 6 weeks, including 3 weekend days.
