Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Newton, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend, no holiday rotation

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the ED setting during overnight shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• License and certification verifications must be uploaded with machine-generated date stamps within 30 days of start.
• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
• Criminal background checks (federal, nationwide, county) covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification and alias checks, dated within 30 days of start.
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
• Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, OFAC, NSO, and state-specific registries (Iowa Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training and IA Sing Report required).
• Signed professional forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, conflict of interest disclosure, integrity and audit services form, and non-employee upload form.
• Trinity system access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.

Additional Information

• No holiday rotation required.
• Every other weekend work schedule.
• All certifications must be current and scanned copies of both front and back of cards uploaded.
• All health and professional documentation must be attached to the candidate’s record prior to onboarding.
