Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Waco, Texas
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a combined ICU unit covering medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
  • Must be able to float between ICU and step-down critical care service lines.
  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Onboarding Requirements

  • Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation.
  • Completion of onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding modules.
  • Completion of pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip.
  • Color vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Annual updates of skills checklist and employment verification.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Flu vaccine exemptions accepted with mask-wearing requirement during flu season.
  • Optional items include exit survey and unit-specific checklist.

This position requires a highly skilled ICU nurse capable of managing diverse critical care patients and adapting to multiple service lines within the ICU and step-down units.
