Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Rochester, New Hampshire
Unit: Inpatient Rehab Unit (Acute Rehab, Floor 3W)


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours (typical shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, may include weekend shifts)
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Therapy to patient ratio: 5:1
    • Nurse to patient ratio: 6:1
  • Unit Staffing: PTs, OTs, PTAs, SLPs, RNs, LPNs, CNCs, PCTs
  • Floating Policy: May float to medical-surgical unit if inpatient rehab census is low
  • Documentation System: Expanse
  • Dress Code: Scrubs (no specific color required)

  • 19 beds in the inpatient rehab unit
  • State-of-the-art equipment available
  • Experienced, cohesive staff with low turnover
  • High team and patient engagement with outstanding patient outcomes
  • Emphasis on good customer service, communication, and patient rounding
  • Opportunity to work with neuro patients preferred but not required
  • Unit recognized for quality care and patient satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with experience within the last year
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge or training regarding hazardous drug safety protocols and assessment of Physical Therapist skills and knowledge

Additional Notes

  • Candidates should be comfortable with potential weekend shifts and floating to med-surg units as needed
  • The unit values teamwork, patient-centered care, and professional growth opportunities
  • Advanced neuro rehab skills are a plus but not mandatory
