Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Position is a backfill role in the Operating Room.
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles away to qualify as travel staff.
- The facility is a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with specialized certifications including Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
- The hospital provides a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must comply with New Mexico state requirements for clinical staff, including fingerprinting and background checks prior to hire.
- Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint results are pending but must be supervised during this period.
