Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: AM Shift
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IPR)
• Unit size: 18 beds
• Patient ratio: 5-6 patients per nurse
• Staffing: RNs and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating: As needed, typically to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience
• Rehabilitation experience within the last year

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult patient populations
• Experience in inpatient (acute) rehabilitation or long-term acute care nursing
• Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing procedures including:

  • Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization
  • Peripheral IV insertions
  • Blood administration
  • Central line dressing changes
  • Wound dressing changes
  • Surgical drain removal
  • Suture/staple removal

Dress Code & Appearance Standards

• Royal Blue scrubs (tops and pants) in good condition; no logos or fading
• Scrub caps must be free of logos
• Nails must be clean and healthy; no artificial or gel nails
• Hair neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
• Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; uncovered tattoos addressed individually
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
• Must wear facility-issued PPE compliantly, including N95 masks and face shields

Additional Information

• No guaranteed hours beyond scheduled 36 per week
• Rotating weekend call requirements
• Attendance policies per company standards
