Description
Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: AM Shift
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IPR)
- Unit size: 18 beds
- Patient ratio: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Staffing: RNs and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating: As needed, typically to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience
- Rehabilitation experience within the last year
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience with neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult patient populations
- Experience in inpatient (acute) rehabilitation or long-term acute care nursing
- Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing procedures including:
- Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization
- Peripheral IV insertions
- Blood administration
- Central line dressing changes
- Wound dressing changes
- Surgical drain removal
- Suture/staple removal
Dress Code & Appearance Standards
- Royal Blue scrubs (tops and pants) in good condition; no logos or fading
- Scrub caps must be free of logos
- Nails must be clean and healthy; no artificial or gel nails
- Hair neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; uncovered tattoos addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
- Must wear facility-issued PPE compliantly, including N95 masks and face shields

- No guaranteed hours beyond scheduled 36 per week
- Rotating weekend call requirements
