Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM (4x10 hour shifts)

Job Description
- Perform ultrasound procedures in Radiology and Cardiology specialties.
- Schedule may be adjusted based on unit needs during the interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Recent ultrasound experience within the last year.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.
Licensure & Certifications
- BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required.
- ARDMS certification required for Ultrasound Techs.
- National certification required for Ultrasound Techs; physical copy strongly preferred.
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 60 days of start, including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search required (TN-specific).
- Education verification required; diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands within 1 year of start.
- Fit test for 3M N-95 masks (models 1860 and 1870+) within 1 year of start; must pass with no limitations.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start.
- Immunizations required with proof:
- Measles (Rubeola) – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low/equivocal.
- Mumps – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low/equivocal.
- Rubella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low/equivocal.
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low/equivocal.
- Hepatitis B – 3 shot series, positive titer, or signed declination.
- TB testing: True 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; if positive, negative chest X-ray within 2 years plus annual TB questionnaire.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30). Exemptions require mask-wearing in patient areas and may delay start date.
Documentation & Onboarding
- Two recent professional references required.
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, taken within last 6 months).
- Submission packet includes application, references, skills checklist, state license, and certification information.
- Facility-specific dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, Caribbean blue for RRTs, steel gray for surgical and OB techs; no prints or embroidery allowed.
- Confidentiality acknowledgment must be signed prior to start.
- Onsite fit test and questionnaires may be required depending on experience and role.

- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required; first-time travelers accepted with sufficient recent experience.
