Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum / Mother Baby
Location
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit and Specialty
- Mother Baby unit
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing with focus on Post Partum care
Shift and Hours
- Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 48 (36 hours available upon request)
- Weekend hours as required by facility
- No call requirements
Patient Care Details
- Patient ratio: 3 couplets per nurse
- Post-partum patients on magnesium sulfate: 1:1 for first 12 hours, then usually combined with a couplet
- Utilizes nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability
- Coordinates patient care with other departments
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 2 years of Post Partum nursing experience
- Post Partum nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Float to other units as needed
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Dress code: Black scrubs
