Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Marina del Rey, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Requirements
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R)
- Fluoroscopy Permit
Job Details
- Weekend work required
- Floating between units required
- On-call every other weekend
- No scheduling requests can be accommodated
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check within 6 months of start, including:
- 7-year county residency check
- Nationwide criminal search
- Sex offender search
- Federal district court search
- International criminal search if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years
- Education verification including diploma/transcript (official translation required if not in English)
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask models required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if history of positive TB, additional documentation required
- Drug screening within 1 year of start (specific drug panel required, excludes Marijuana/THC)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31); no declinations accepted
- Two professional references required, both supervisory and verified within 1 year of start
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for this specialty
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Fire Card issued by the facility required within 30 days of start (onsite course provided if not obtained prior)
- Various competency exams required, including:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% passing score)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (time sensitive, must be completed within 3 days of start)
- Pass/Fail EKG assessment during orientation (applicable to RNs in certain units)
- Harassment prevention training certificate on file
- Acknowledgement and signing of facility policies including:
- Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy
- Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practices
- Social Media Policy
- Photo for badge may be required (facility-specific guidelines apply)
- Employee parking form completion required
Notes
- Candidates must be prepared for mandatory weekend and floating assignments.
- No scheduling accommodations will be made.

- Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season with no exemptions allowed.
