    Description

    MRI Tech - Travel/Contract

    Location: San Francisco, California
    Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Perform routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
    • Float across multiple campuses as needed; shuttle service available for transportation.
    • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (typically 0800-2030 with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM).
    • Usually includes one Saturday and one Sunday per month.
    • On-call is optional, not required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
    • Current ARMRIT or ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification.
    • ARRT MR certification required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only).
    • Venipuncture certification.

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, and Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks required as applicable.
    • Education verification required unless highest education is high school.
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to California law).
    • TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually. Negative TB test or chest x-ray required.
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, must indicate clearance for work.
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (exceptions apply).
    • Immunizations required: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination series).
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination with mask-wearing requirement.
    • Drug testing and immunization documentation must be current and compliant with facility policies.

    Additional Requirements

    • Must provide full 7 years of work history with no gaps; employment verification required.
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually.
    • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
    • Onsite EKG competency testing may be required after start.

    Work Environment

    • Floating between multiple campuses required.
    • Shuttle transportation provided between campuses.
    • Day shifts with 12-hour duration, 3 days per week.
    • Weekend work typically one Saturday and one Sunday per month.
