Description
Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Work Type: Full Time
Job Summary
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Support other imaging technologists as needed to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems (PACS).
- Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at other campuses as required.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within licensure scope.
- Maintain expected imaging competencies and align behavior and communication with organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to core competencies and organizational values.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability in all duties.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Perform examinations and procedures to assist patient throughput within licensure and competency scope.
- Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser and escalate issues appropriately.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

- Weekend and on-call availability required.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
