Description
Registered Nurse - IMC
Location: Brighton, Colorado
Shift: Night (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Continuously evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment.
- Provide health teaching and counseling.
- Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through delegation, supervision, or teaching.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize resources effectively.
- May float to other departments within scope of competency.
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care experience, with such experience obtained within the last year.

However, as I have spoken with several travelers here who have far more experience than I, they have led me to believe that actually my process was as smooth or smoother than most. In the end, I have been unwaveringly happy that my first travel assignment has been in Alison’s attentive care through Host.
