Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel)
Location: Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Patient & Unit Details
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Number of Beds: 31
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Pneumonia, Rule out Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Post-Op Hip, Shoulder, Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP), General Surgery
- Equipment Used: Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Baxter IV Pumps, GE VC150 monitors
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: EPIC
- Trauma Level: 4
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
- Certifications: American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Healthcare Worker Competency (HWC)
Compliance & Screening Requirements
- Must complete and clear all required screenings prior to start
- Pennsylvania-specific clearances required before employment:
- Fingerprinting (must be submitted before clearance)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (acceptable if completed within last 2 years)
- Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (PATCH)
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as Travel
Dress Code
- Scrub Colors Allowed: Grey, Black, or Blue
- Unacceptable Attire: Not specified beyond scrub color requirements
