Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania

- Unit: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
- Number of Beds: 31
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Pneumonia, Rule out Chest Pain, CHF, COPD, Post-Op Hip, Shoulder, TURP, General Surgery
- Equipment Used: SCDs, Baxter IV Pumps, GE VC150s
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: EPIC
- Trauma Level: 4

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Healthcare Worker Clearance (HWC)
Orientation & Screening Requirements
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
- Complete and clear screenings required prior to start, including:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (must be within last 2 years or completed prior to start)
- Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (PATCH)
- All fingerprinting and clearances must be submitted before candidate can be cleared for employment
Dress Code
- Scrub colors allowed: Grey, black, or blue
- Unacceptable attire: Not specified beyond scrub color requirements
Additional Notes
- No call or float requirements
- Patient care involves adult and geriatric populations with a variety of medical surgical conditions
- Work environment includes telemetry monitoring as part of the unit profile
