Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Acute Care Med/Surg Telemetry unit with 34 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatrics not assigned to traveler
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
• Weekend work required occasionally
• Call required only when down staffed or placed on call
• Float assignments possible to care for inpatient holds

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• One year or more of total travel nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Dress code: scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes only

• Orientation provided bi-weekly
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more away to qualify for travel status
