Description
Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Putnam, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (may consider up to 40 hours)
Job Details
- Assignment in a 17-bed ICU/CCU unit: 6 critical care beds, 11 telemetry beds, including 2 ventilator beds.
- Schedule: 7am to 7pm shifts, every other weekend off.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Float to stepdown unit as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse license in Connecticut required; multistate/compact licenses accepted. Temporary CT license available within 10-15 days; candidates without CT license in-hand will be considered.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCIT) certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to recognize normal and abnormal cardiac monitoring patterns and implement appropriate treatments.
- Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring procedures, equipment use, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation.

- The position involves working in a critical care environment with ventilated patients.
