Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Travel Opportunity in Washington

Location

• City: Monroe, Washington
• Facility Type: Level IV trauma center serving rural and urban populations

Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Shift: Nights, every other weekend (EOW)
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Float: Required to float across Emergency Department and inpatient units as needed

Patient Population & Environment

• Trauma Level: IV trauma center with 2 trauma rooms and 11 exam rooms (4 fast track)
• Patient Types: Standard ER patients, including psych holds (usually <24 hours), prison patients, deliveries stabilized and transferred
• Common Procedures: Ventilator management before ICU transfer, telemetry strip interpretation required
• Staffing: 1 ER physician 24/7, PA from 2pm, hospitalist coverage until 5pm, respiratory therapist 24/7, pharmacy open 6am-10pm with after-hours contract coverage
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation provided

Required Certifications & Experience

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience preferred
• Charge Nurse experience preferred but not required

Additional Notes

• Weekend and holiday work required as part of staff rotation
• Scrubs provided
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Exposure to a variety of cases including trauma, psych, and obstetrics stabilization
