Registered Nurse - PACU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Paris, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Holiday/Weekend Requirement: 1 day per week plus 1 weekend per month (Friday-Sunday)
• Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within the last year
• Minimum 1 year experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• One completed travel nursing assignment
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Employment verification and eligibility (I9/E-Verify) required
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands of position
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year, updated annually (no PAPR allowed)
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) with booster if low/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B titer or series with booster or signed declination if applicable
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer with booster if low/equivocal
  • Annual flu vaccine during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
  • COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty

Additional Notes

• Candidates will interview as part of the hiring process
• EPIC test-out may be required depending on assignment (some exceptions apply)
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with recent Epic experience and critical care or emergency department background, seeking a 13-week contract in Tennessee with a structured day shift schedule and weekend/holiday coverage.
