Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Inpatient Rehabilitation setting with 41 beds
- Therapy staff includes approximately 15-20 daily across PT, OT, and SLP disciplines
- OT team currently staffed with 3 OTRs and 3 COTAs
- Day shift requires 1 OT; every other weekend required
- Patient treatment load: up to 6 patients per 8-hour shift
- Equipment used: ESTIM, patient lifts, ADL/IADL equipment, gym equipment
- EMR system: Meditech
- Patients require 3 hours of therapy daily; clinician responsible for tracking treatment time and charges
- Facility features state-of-the-art technology and a full IADL kitchen
Job Description
- Provide evaluation and treatment focusing on ADLs and IADLs
- Hands-on clinician role with flexible hours for treatment start/stop times
- Team player environment with rotating weekend coverage
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Kansas
- Occupational Therapist with at least 6 months of experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- OTR certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
