Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Float tech role, floating between all buildings as needed
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Fri-Sun, 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Hours may vary depending on coverage needs, including holidays if scheduled
- No on-call required
- Must float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Required certifications/licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- MR certification (ARRT or ARMRIT)
- Siemens equipment experience required
Facility & Work Environment
- Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
- Total staffed beds: 865
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Teal top, black bottom
- Parking: Paid only for nights and weekends, one-time $20 parking pass fee
- Radius rule: 60 miles; local candidates accepted case-by-case
Orientation & Onboarding
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approx. 2 hours) required before start
- Clear, passport-style badge photo required prior to start
- COVID vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form
- Must upload COVID and flu vaccine documentation into facility system prior to start
- First Day Instructions (FDI) and OurDay modules must be completed before orientation; failure to complete results in being sent home
Additional Notes
- Hurricane season (June-November) may require assignment to emergency response teams
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All required documents and certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start date
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
