Description
Scrub Tech - Operating Room
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (10-hour day shifts)
Unit Information
- Operating Room with 10 ORs, licensed for 330 beds
- Approximately 50 staff members
- Day shift staffed by RNs, Scrub Techs, and UAs; night shift is call team
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment includes DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, hysteroscopy pump
- Electronic Medical Record system: Altera
Typical Procedures
- Orthopedics (total joints)
- General surgery
- Robotics
- Basic endovascular procedures
- Urology
- Neuro (including basic crani/neuro)
- Gynecology
- Vascular
Requirements
- Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience with orthopedics
- Experience with total joints
- Experience with general surgery
- Experience with robotics
- Basic endovascular skills
- Urology experience
- Neuro experience
Work Schedule & Call
- Primarily day shifts (10-hour days)
- Assigned stay-late call during the week
- Occasional overnight call on Friday and Saturday
- Holiday coverage as needed (PRN)
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrub color/attire provided by OR
- Personality fit: Work hard, play nice
- No floating to other areas required
