Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Day shift (8-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Overview
- Float position covering all units within the facility
- Weekend assignment requiring availability on Saturday and Sunday
- Patient load typically includes 8-10 acute care patients or 4 rehab patients per shift
- Equipment commonly used: Hoyer lifts, EZ Stands, BITS, Xcite
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
- Team culture is strong with a collaborative OT/PT team
- New equipment recently added: Barihab and BURT device
- The rehab unit is expanding and seeking support for inpatient rehab patients
Unit Information
- Located on 4th floor, Building B
- Approximately 11-12 OTs scheduled daily during day shift; no night shift coverage
- Typical procedures: Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color, professional appearance expected
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Kansas
- Occupational Therapist (OTR) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Assessment of Occupational Therapist qualifications or training related to USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk
