Registered Nurse - Surgery Pre Op (Travel)
Location
- Farmington, New Mexico
- Located in the San Juan River Valley, northwest New Mexico
- Region offers outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and access to national parks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM), one day off (not fixed)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Call Requirements: No call required for this position
- Unit: Pre Op (Surgery)
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Patient Population: Diverse, all ages
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
Facility Overview
- Level III Trauma Center with 198 beds
- Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
- Accredited and recognized for quality and beauty
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Pre-Op nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

- No float requirements
- Submittal requirements include resume, submission form, competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions
- Patient care involves preoperative nursing duties in a surgical setting
