Description

Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location

  • Based in York County, Pennsylvania, with possible support to neighboring counties (mainly western York and Adams).
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free.

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract position
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Holidays as needed
  • No call requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC) as applicable per unit/job description
  • Other certifications and competencies may be required based on specialty and facility guidelines

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) Search completed 3 business days prior to start (no exceptions)
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • Employment application and most recent resume required
  • Two professional references within 3 years of start
  • Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
  • Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (Aya requirement)
  • Physical exam within 90 days of start signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Immunizations and health documents with identifiers (Name, DOB, or SSN) including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; chest X-ray if positive
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titer required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) or declination form
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
  • Fit mask required for patient-facing candidates 3 business days prior to start (specific mask types mandated)
  • Photo for badge: clear, passport-style with light background, no face coverings except religious headwear
  • Auto insurance copy required for candidates traveling to home care settings

Orientation & Training

  • Completion of assigned Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not accessible via cell phones)
  • New hire orientation must be completed by end of first day
  • Medication, pharmacology, and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required as applicable
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of signed contract

Additional Information

  • May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Mileage reimbursement available at current rate with proper documentation submitted alongside work hours
  • Maximum return to office (RTO) time: 7 days
  • Floating primarily within York County and neighboring areas, mindful of travel distance
