Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Facility Overview

  • Joint Commission Accredited
  • Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center
  • 199 beds total, including a 22-bed ER and 32-bed Critical Care Unit
  • Equipment includes GE ultrasound machines
  • Documentation systems: Meditech, Change Healthcare PACS
  • No floating policy
  • Dress code: Scrubs (any color)

Job Description

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, bubble studies, and difinity imaging
  • Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), structural heart procedures, TAVR, and TEE during Watchman procedures
  • Cover inpatient, outpatient, and catheterization procedure exams
  • Work independently as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARDMS certification
  • RDCS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Experience as an Echo Technologist
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
