Description
RN - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)
Location: Ft. Walton Beach, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday)
Unit Overview
- Cardiac Cath Lab with 7 holding beds
- Equipment includes GE Innova, Impella
- Documentation systems: MacLab, Meditech
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling with STEMI call approximately 10-12 days per month
- Floating within related departments: Electrophysiology (EP) and Stress Lab
- Dress code: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital
- Recognized with Daisy and Sunflower Awards
- Experienced staff and new technology available
Procedures Performed
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure
- Atherectomy
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Right and Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC)
- Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support
- Direct Current Cardioversion (DCCV)
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab specialty, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Hospital is a 257-bed acute care facility with advanced cardiovascular and trauma care
- Accredited Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
- Offers open heart surgery and cancer care accredited by the Commission on Cancer
- Emergency services include main ER, Pediatric ER, and Destin ER
- Collaborative environment with experienced staff and advanced technology
This position is a travel assignment offering a specialized cardiac cath lab experience in a high-acuity hospital setting.
