Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Somerset, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36 (Every Other Weekend required)
Facility Overview
- 295-bed acute care hospital serving an 11-county area in south central Kentucky
- Offers cardiac care and advanced neurosurgery with Spine Center accreditation
- Employs over 1,200 healthcare professionals and more than 170 physicians across 38 specialties
Position Details
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Number of Openings: 1
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
- Weekend hours every other week
- Call requirements not specified
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Certifications (must have prior to start):
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Facility may require additional certifications beyond those listed
- Patient population includes adult critical care patients
- Dress code and other unit-specific policies apply but are not detailed here
