Description
Registered Nurse – Hospice
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Weekend call rotation: 1 weekend every 4-5 weekends (includes Saturday and Sunday)
- Call requirement: 1-2 nights per week
- No holiday work required
Patient Care
- Hospice/end-of-life care and home health patients
- 4 to 5 patient visits per day
- Home Health/Hospice Aides staffed at a ratio of 1 aide per 2 RNs
- No ventilator equipment required (no vents, CPAP, BiPAP)
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or proof that application process has been initiated
- BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Must be able to work independently and remotely
- Computer and EMR proficiency required
- Drug-free workplace: negative drug screen required for all panels
Additional Information
- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
- Call-off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty
- No manager or charge nurse available 24/7 onsite
