Emergency Department RN - Illinois

Job Type

Contract position
Contract length: 4 weeks
Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
36 hours per week

Job Description

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with specialists and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and flow.
Deliver care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general patient needs.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and ED physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with ED experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Certification in one or more of the following: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS).
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
