Description
Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5 days a week, 40 hours/week)
Start Date: ASAP
Call: Not required
Floating: As needed within scope
Job Requirements
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (Nuclear MED or MNTCB)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Washington Food Handler Certification
Facility & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required; US equivalency documentation if education completed out of state
- Photo for badge required
- Completion of confidentiality, crime disclosure, conflict of interest, and compliance documents
- 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start
Health & Safety Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Annual TB questionnaire completion
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); mask required if declined
Additional Notes
- Locals are allowed to apply
- First-time travelers accepted
- Floating may be required within the scope of practice
- No radius restrictions for travel distance
- Suicide prevention training required if working in Washington with a multi-state license (for RNs/LVNs only; not applicable here)
