Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Hudson, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Level II Trauma Center with 309 beds
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 5 procedure suites
- Staff includes 1 Director, 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, approximately 4.6 RNs, and 5 techs
- Day shift staffed fully; night shift on-call crew for emergent cases
- Patient ratio approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
- Equipment includes Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
- EMR systems used: MacLab & Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
- Peripheral Vascular procedures
- Pacemaker and ICD management
- Watchman device procedures
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL) procedures is a plus
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Scheduled according to facility policy
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff
- Typical workweek: 36 hours
