Sonographer Travel Job – Kansas

Location

• Garden City, Kansas

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Shifts: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Monday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Possible alternative schedule: four 10-hour days Friday through Monday
• Evening shift with call rotation after 9:00 PM and on weekends
• Weekend and holiday on-call required (no regular weekend shifts)
• No self-scheduling available

Department & Equipment

• Radiology – Ultrasound
• 4 Toshiba ultrasound units (2 new Phillips units being purchased)
• Use of EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS systems
• No floating to other departments
• No IV starts required
• Radiologist on-site three days per week

Job Duties

• Perform all general ultrasound exams including vascular and obstetrics (all three trimesters)
• Procedures included; echocardiography experience is a plus but not required
• Average 10-15 scans/studies per day depending on hours worked

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) via CCI
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Experience Requirements

• Must have experience in general ultrasound, obstetrics, and vascular ultrasound

Additional Information

• Agency must provide the radiation badge
• Must be in-state for the week of orientation (even if some modules are remote)
• Driver’s license must be submitted
• Radius for travel: within 60 miles of the facility
