Description
Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Position Details
- Specialty: Acute Care / Medical Surgical
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Number of Openings: 2
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend (Friday and Saturday), plus at least 2 Sundays in 6 weeks, same shift hours
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be able to float to like units
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical 4 South
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
- Patient Population: Medical Surgical
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Acute Care / Medical Surgical settings
Work Environment & Culture
- Positive, team-oriented, flexible with work schedule
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs required; hoodies, non-scrub jackets, and crocs are not allowed
Orientation & Onboarding
- Must be available every day during the first week of orientation for onboarding
Additional Notes
- Reporting location is on the 4th floor Heart Center
- Parking available in designated yellow-lined spots near the ER
