Registered Nurse (RN) - Step Down
Location
- Indianapolis, Indiana

- Contract length: 12 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Surgical Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown/Progressive Care)
- Number of beds: 23
- Patient ratios: 1:3 or 1:4
- Patient population: Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU), cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC
Shift Details
- Dayshift: 1900 to 0730 (overnight shift)
- Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 1900 to 0730)
- Holiday rotation included
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- No call requirements
- May be required to float to other stepdown/PCUs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with thoracic and vascular surgery patients

- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Experience with CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients preferred
- Candidates may be required to complete education modules prior to the first day
