Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiology (Travel)
Location
- Lewiston, Maine
- 37-bed unit in a Level III Trauma hospital
- Close to outdoor recreational activities and cultural attractions
Job Details
- Travel assignment, approximately 13 weeks
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week)
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
Unit Profile
- Unit: T3 Cardio
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Patient population includes cardiac patients requiring telemetry and post-op cath care
- Common diagnoses: Stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (A-fib), arrhythmias, cardiac caths/stents, and medical-surgical cases
- Equipment used: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), EKG machine
- Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit, with experience within the last year
- Cardiology experience
- Telemetry experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
