Description
Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care on a Behavioral Health Unit with 12 beds.
- Patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
- Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Electronic Health Record system used: Meditech.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) certification.
- Medical-Surgical float experience, if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in geriatric psychiatric nursing.
- Experience on a medical floor.

Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented workplace.
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed.
- No call requirements.
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
- Facility is a Level III Trauma Center.
