    • Team includes nurses, MST (techs and patient sitters), charge nurses, patient flow coordinators, triage nurses, protocol nurses, and 24/7 monitor techs.

    • Minimum 2+ years of ER nursing experience.
    • At least 1 year of trauma center experience.
    • Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers accepted.
    • Must hold current certifications:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
    • 100% Epic EMR experience required—no exceptions.
    • Must have a clean license record with no history of medication diversion or endangerment issues (such issues will result in immediate contract cancellation).

    Clinical Environment & Responsibilities

    • Patient acuity includes STEMI, stroke, DKA, sepsis, trauma, respiratory diseases, and behavioral health cases.
    • Nurse-to-patient ratios:
      • Main ED: 4:1
      • Accelerated Care (Fast Track): 5:1
      • Critical Care: 2:1
    • RNs perform ABG draws and set up small dose breathing treatments; respiratory therapists manage RT equipment and are available for consults.
    • RNs and MSTs perform ECGs.
    • RNs required to transport critical patients within the ED.
    • Phlebotomy performed by nurses and MSTs.
    • Telemetry monitoring done by MST and RNs.
    • Orientation includes first day with ED leadership and badging, followed by 2-3 shifts of bedside orientation.

    Scheduling & Time Off

    • Variable scheduling with 12-hour night shifts.
    • Cancellation policy: 1 shift per 2-week period.
    • Return-to-Office (RTO) policy allows up to 10 days off without hospital approval for clinical prescreening; additional time or holiday requests require hospital approval.

    Community & Living

    • Located about 10 minutes south of Seattle, serving a population of over 600,000.
    • Area offers abundant outdoor activities: hiking, running trails, waterfalls, skiing (approx. 45 minutes away), and access to national parks and islands.
    • Nearby urban attractions include downtown Seattle landmarks, museums, markets, and sports teams.
    • Various housing options available including extended stay hotels, apartments with short-term leases, and furnished rentals.
