Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinic/Outpatient
Location: Dickinson, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, no holidays, no on-call
Job Overview
- Provide general nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Primary support for the pediatric department with possible floating to OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Internal Medicine clinics.
- Duties include rooming patients, phone triage, IM injections, vaccine administration, catheter changes, setting up sterile fields, and assisting with phone triage.
- Use of EPIC EMR, vision screener, and EKG equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of clinic experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification required
- Experience working with pediatric patients
Orientation & Training
- One-on-one training with 1-2 nurse preceptors.
- Orientation length depends on prior experience and competency assessment.
- Team-oriented work environment; rarely the only nurse in the department.
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs (top and bottoms) and warm-up jacket.
Additional Information
- No holidays or call responsibilities.
- Floating to other clinics as needed.
