Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Ambulatory Infusion Center Registered Nurse
- Start: ASAP to cover a leave of absence
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- No weekends or holidays required
- Patient Diagnoses: Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis, Gastrointestinal, Neurology, Transplant, Obstetrics
- Responsibilities include infusion therapy, emergency treatment for reactions, administration of iron, drugs related to MS/GI/Neuro/Transplant, and fluid management
- First-time travel nurses accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in ambulatory care settings
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must include SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, education verification, and others as applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required for all candidates; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report
- Washington State Patrol Search required within 90 days of start and updated every 2 years for certain facility types
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel nurses, updated annually
- Immunizations and screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instants acceptable
Additional Requirements
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Passport-style badge photo may be required depending on facility location
- NURSYS license verification required for all RNs
- WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required for RNs with out-of-state compact licenses working in Washington

- This position is ambulatory infusion focused with no weekend or holiday shifts
