Nuclear Medicine Technician - Fresno, California
Job Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform full spectrum of diagnostic imaging and analyze biological specimens.
- Assist with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Use imaging devices to record radiopharmaceutical distribution within patients.
- Ensure patient safety protocols and compliance with federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Work closely with Nuclear Medicine Physicians.
- Must be fully trained and self-reliant in routine Nuclear Medicine techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (CTNM).
- Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (N).
- An Associate's degree in a related field is mandatory.
