Description
Respiratory Therapist Tech - Day Shift
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support.
- Perform physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care.
- Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport ventilators.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM
- Three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours total)
- No guarantee of hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Hawaii.
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Additional Requirements
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday.
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start. Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance.
