Description
Sonographer (Cardiovascular & Vascular) – Temp Position
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform cardiovascular and vascular sonography, including renal, pre-op, pain mapping, and other detailed vascular procedures.
- Expected to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Approximately 7-8 scans per day.
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer experience.
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract.
- Active Iowa license at time of submission.
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist specific to Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer discipline.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
Additional Information
- Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
- Night and weekend call-back and on-call shifts may be required.
- OT, holiday, call-back, on-call, charge, and precepting pay multipliers apply (details not included here).
- Must be willing to perform all vascular processes and detailed vascular sonography work.
